We value the contribution ākonga Māori bring to Whitireia and WelTec | Te Pūkenga. To assist you to complete your course of study successfully, we have the Tamaiti Whāngai and Te Āti Awa team at WelTec, and Te Wānanga Māori, Te Awarua and Ngāti Toa Rangatira team at Whitireia. Our teams support all ākonga, regardless of their campus of study.
We have dedicated spaces (location below) for ākonga Māori wanting friendly and welcoming places to study, socialise, to get advice and support, advocacy needs and access to mental health services.
We are here to support the success and participation of Māori students at WelTec. The Tamaiti Whāngai team will provide mentoring, pastoral, cultural and academic support. The team will also provide advocacy internally and externally as required.
