Employer Satisfaction Survey

WelTec conducts an annual employer satisfaction survey to see how our graduates are doing and whether employers are happy with their performance.

We use the feedback from the survey to make our training even more relevant to industry.

In the 2016 survey, WelTec had a 93% employer satisfaction rate.


How it works

The Employer Satisfaction Survey is a brief survey of employers who have had recent contact with us in the following ways:

  • Employed a new graduate
  • Supported an employee through further training or upgrading of qualifications
  • Hosted a student on work placement / work experience

The survey has two parts:

  1. How well our education and training programmes equip students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for success in the employment
  2. How we can improve the relevance and quality of our education and training to better meet employer needs.

We contract SIL Research to conduct the Employer Satisfaction Survey. SIL Research adheres to defined market research practices to preserve anonymity and confidentiality of the information provided. Contact details are not passed on to third parties. SIL Research only contacts employers who are referred by teaching staff or with the consent of graduates.

Responses are anonymised; responding people or workplaces will not be identified in any reports presented. The exception is where employers agree to their contact details being released to follow up further opportunities for industry engagement in teaching and learning.
