Te Whare Ako - Creche
Te Whare Ako, WelTec's Childcare Centre is located at 9 Elizabeth Street, Petone. It provides quality early childhood education and care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years.
The purpose-built Centre has a large indoor play/work area, nursery and quiet rooms. Outside amenities include a fully fenced area which incorporates a sandpit, children's play equipment, swings, a playhouse, lawn and soft-fall area.
Established in accordance with the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Regulations, the Education Review Office rated it a model building for an early childhood centre.
What will your child do?
As well as catering for the physical and emotional needs of the children who attend, the Centre provides an educational programme based on the individual needs of each child. This is achieved through observations and the development of objectives laid down in the Early Childhood Curriculum document 'Te Whariki'.
All activities will be developmentally appropriate and are carefully planned to meet all children's needs.
We have a team of teachers dedicated to providing a fun, relaxed and educational environment where all children and families feel a sense of belonging. The teachers have a wide variety of experience and training to ensure high quality early childhood education and care.
