Lisa King
Tutor
Lisa King affiliates to Ngati Kahu ki Whangaroa and Ngati Kohua. Lisa has more than 20 years experience in the social and community services and is committed to supporting the development of good practice and great practitioners. At the time Lisa studied as a social worker, youth work did not have its own qualification but social workers could choose to specialise in youth work. Lisa has experience working with young people, their families and communities - as a social worker and advocate for children and young people affected by family violence.
Lisa delights in the joys and challenges of the Bachelor of Youth Development - supporting students to increase their knowledge and skills for making a positive difference in the lives of the young people they will work with and for.
