Terry Jeon

Terry teaches in the areas of RDBMS, Data Analysis, System Design, C/C++ Program Language and VB.Net. He has also tutored at Victoria University of Wellington.

Master of Knowledge Management (Canberra University, Australia), BSc, Diploma of Business Computing, Oracle Certified Professional.

Kerese Manueli

Kerese currently teaches games design and programming logic and Multimedia Development in the Certificate in Interactive Computing (CiIC).
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics, Certificate in Tertiary Teaching, Postgraduate Diploma in Computing and Masters in Computing.

Steve McKinlay
Academic Staff Member
Steve teaches on the Bachelor of IT programme and came to WelTec after holding a wide variety of IT database and development roles within the industry. He participates on various academic advisory boards and has an emerging publication record. A research member of the CAPPE Research Institute in Australia.
His research interests include the philosophy of computing and science, knowledge modelling, computational theories of explanation, science and mind, artificial intelligence, set theory and the relational model of data.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in the Philosophy of Science (Victoria University), BA(Hons) and a Bachelor of Business majoring in commercial computing (Griffith University, Australia). Steve is working on a PhD through Charles Sturt University.

Rhys Owen
Academic Staff Member
Rhys has worked as an IBM Systems Programmer doing mostly networking and transaction processing. He has also worked as a tutor with the software engineering group in the Electronics School at CIT. More recently he's been a software engineer with a data visualisation startup, and has just returned to WelTec to enjoy teaching in the networking, programming and software engineering areas.

Robert Sutcliffe
Academic Staff Member
Robert teaches on the Bachelor of IT and diploma programmes in Project Management and networking related areas. He has spent twelve years in various computer support areas in NZ and the UK, culminating in a Network Engineer role specialising in small business solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science, Certified Netware Engineer Certification and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems Management.

Leonie Trower
Programme Coordinator/Senior Academic Staff Member
Leonie has been teaching over the past 16 years in the area of Hardware, Operating Systems, Data Analysis, Project Management, System Implementation, Help Desk and Programming for both Diploma in Business Computing, Diploma in Information and Communications Technology as well as the Diploma in Computer Servicing and Certificate in Desktop Support. Prior to working at WelTec, Leonie's work experience included managing a large business office and being a Supervisor in Retail and Office Farm Management.
Qualifications:
(HDA) Help Desk Analyst; CompTIA Hardware and CompTIA Operating Systems, ESTA "A" (Electrical Service Technician "A") and a Diploma in Adult Education.

Nick Tullock
Academic Staff Member
Nick teaches on the Diploma in Information and Communications Technology (Level 6) programme formerly DipBC and Diploma in Software Engineering (DipSE) covering hardware, communications, networking, operating systems and software engineering/development. Prior to his starting teaching at CIT in 1987 Nick was employed in the mainframe computer industry, initially as a Computer Engineer before moving into systems engineering.
