WelTec’s New Hospitality Campus

WelTec's School of Hospitality Cuba Street Campus opened its doors on 28 September, 2012.
The central city site once housed the Capital’s Regent Theatre and has now been transformed into a four storey building housing state of the art teaching facilities. These include teaching kitchens complete with LCD TV screens, a 100 seat training restaurant and production kitchen, which will open to city diners, a training bar, latte lab and lecture theatres.
The building is home to two of the most highly respected brands in the industry – WelTec’s own School of Hospitality, which is highly regarded for its excellence in hospitality study and the internationally prestigious Le Cordon Bleu NZ.
The WelTec School of Hospitality caters for up to 300 students who are able to gain qualifications, expertise and work-ready skills, in subjects such as Hospitality Management, Operations Supervision, Hotel Reception, Food and Beverage, Cookery and Patisserie. Le Cordon Bleu NZ is also able to accommodate up to 300 students.
The school is located in the heart of Wellington’s thriving hospitality industry and is ideally placed for our students to be able to make the most of mentoring and practicum opportunities with industry professionals. The school also provides regular up-skilling events for our hospitality industry partners.
