The Certificate in Patisserie (Level 4) provides internationally recognised patisserie qualifications with the opportunity to advance with specialist skills in baking, confectionary, and pastries. Ideal for those wanting to pursue a career as a patisserie chef as well as those wanting to further their cookery skills, this programme is specifically designed to serve the needs of a growing industry hungry for qualified pastry chefs.
This programme leads on from the City & Guilds International Certificate in Food Preparation and Cooking - Culinary Arts. Other City & Guilds accredited providers will recognize achievements in the components of the City & Guilds International Diploma in Patisserie.

Entry requirements
City and Guilds International Certificate in Food Preparation in Cookery & Culinary Arts or NZQA 752 National Certificate in Cookery (Level 3), or a qualification at least equivalent to the above.
Students for whom English is a second language, a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is required.
Where will it take me?
Opportunities exist to work as a chef in hotels, restaurants, bistros, cafes or catering companies. You may also wish to specialise as a patisserie chef or assistant patisserie chef.
