Develop a wide range of skills to prepare yourself for employment in the film and television industry. You will gain the skills and knowledge required to perform advanced makeup and hairstyling, special effects, elementary wig and prosthetic applications, facial trimming, and an introduction to body painting.

Entry requirements

Applicants for this programme must have either successfully completed WelTec's Certificate in Fashion Make-up Artistry, or be currently working in the fashion make-up artistry industry with a minimum of six months industry experience. Evidence of your work is required by portfolio and preferably demonstrate make-up and hair on a model for us to see your level of experience.

IELTS (Academic) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5, or equivalent.

Where will it take me? 

Graduates can enter into an unsupervised position within the makeup artistry industry. Employment opportunities include positions as a makeup artist in makeup houses, television, stage and film productions, and photography shoots; or self employment as a freelance makeup artist.
