"At the Community Alcohol and Drug Services in Auckland we employ several graduates from the WelTec Bachelor of Alcohol and Drug Studies course. In addition, some staff members have attended the course. Our experience is that the course provides a clear focus on alcohol and drug issues. Not only on counselling, but it also provides the participants with a broader context of our work. From an employer's perspective I am keen to train and recruit a workforce with indepth understanding of all the issues involved. In general, candidates with a WelTec qualification in Alcohol and Drug Studies are short listed for job interviews."
