Start your plumbing career with the Certificate in Plumbing and Gasfitting (Level 3).  Learn how to use plumbing hand tools and equipment in our purpose-built plumbing workshop as you develop installation and maintenance skills and learn about appliances, fixtures and fittings. With one week work experience included in the programme you will be able to gain insight into the industry and gain practical experience to build on your experience in the workshop.

Entry requirements
To enter this programme you will need to achieve the literacy and numeracy requirements for NCEA Level 1 with a minimum of 8 credits in literacy and 8 credits in numeracy.

If English is your second language, a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is required, with no less than 5.0 in reading and writing.

If you are 20 years of age or older at the time you start your studies, you are entitled to special admission to WelTec.
