Graduate Diploma in Management
(Level 7)
Students will develop knowledge and understanding of the theory and practical applications of strategic management, human resource management, leadership, project management, change management, business analytics and intelligence, and organisational behaviour, preparing graduates for career opportunities across a wide spectrum of industry on a number of disciplines, including:

Programme Strands
Organisational Development is designed to:
- Introduce and develop students in the key areas of business required to facilitate a career pathway in organisational development and/or aligned fields in business and management.
- Provide a vehicle for people with relevant employment history and experience to demonstrate their acquired knowledge and competence in various organisational contexts, and attain credentials.
- Provide a staircase to higher level study.
Human Resources is designed to:
- Contribute to the development of a lasting professional interest and career in human resource management.
- Provide a vehicle for people with relevant employment history and experience to demonstrate their acquired knowledge and competence in human resource management in various organisational contexts, and attain credentials.
- Provide a staircase to higher level study.
Hospitality is designed to:
- Introduce and develop students in the key areas of business required to facilitate a career pathway in international hospitality management and/or aligned field in the wider service and tourism industries.
- Provide a vehicle for people with relevant employment history and experience to demonstrate their acquired knowledge and competence in various organisational contexts, and attain credentials.
- Provide a staircase to higher level study.
To successfully complete the programme, students must complete:
- 8 x 15 credit courses (see the following table of courses)
- a minimum of 5 courses must be at level 7
- International students must enrol in BM5001 Business Studies in New Zealand.

Entry requirements
A bachelors degree, or equivalent practical, professional or educational experience. For applicants who have English as a second language, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent is required, no individual band score of less than 6.0.
